PARENTESI - LIMITED EDITION

The Parentesi lamp, designed by Pio Manzù and Achille Castiglioni and produced by Flos since 1971, was reintroduced for its 50th anniversary.

It is a direct light lamp, featuring vertical movement of the lighting unit and a steel cable stretched between the ceiling and the floor. The new Turquoise and Orange Signal versions were chosen following a philological approach: the former was Castiglioni’s preferred color for the interiors of his home, while the latter was used by Manzù in his prototypes. To mark the anniversary, original elements such as the 1970s packaging and the round booklet have also been revived. The only modification concerns the counterweight, now made of cast iron with a removable silicone cover—a solution that improves sustainability through the use of recyclable and easily available materials.
